Yes it is a race
a ratty-rata-rat race
in which you lose yourself
and lose a face
so give it up and live it up
as you may
and feel the grace
If you haven't realised as yet we have all become rats in the rat race and we are hell-bent on making the next generation whether its our kids, younger siblings or juniors professionally into rats too, such is the maniac power of being in the race.The smarter ones pause and see the beauty of life around them, spend time with loved ones, follow their passions, omit obsessions and let it go.
We must always strive to better our own previous performances and achievements and that must be the only race. Making someone else's success a standard for yourself will make you vulnerable and weak and you may actually do yourself a huge disfavour by getting burned out .
Stop racing in the rat race. runaway from it as fast as you can.
